The Top Female Founders Summers School is centered around healthcare and female entrepreneurship. The program aims to enhance the skills of female university students or postdocs with a background in engineering, medicine, business or life sciences and help them to compete in the healthcare field. The Summer School will take place online from June 10 to June 29, 2024 and in Vienna from July 15 to 19, 2024. It offers important insights from successful female founders and addresses the particular obstacles faced by female entrepreneurs.

The program also aims to empower women to find solutions to the challenges faced by female founders. It has been designed with key insights from experienced female founders and addresses the particular obstacles faced by female entrepreneurs.

The program includes courses that strengthen the ability to confidently find and develop innovative healthcare solutions, courses on business management and effective strategies for starting your own business, and courses that teach important communication skills.

The program is divided into two parts: During the online portion, which will take place from June 10 to June 29, 2024, participants will form teams and develop their ideas. This e-learning phase will include live sessions on healthcare challenges, entrepreneurship, design thinking, project management and more. Those who complete more than 80% of the e-learning activities will be invited to participate in the on-site training in Vienna.  

From July 15-19, 2024, the on-site phase in Vienna will feature leadership development sessions, meetings with successful women leaders, mentoring sessions and more. At the end of the program, each team will present their ideas and new solutions.

Participants will be provided with accommodation in a hotel in Vienna free of charge for the on-site training. The cost of participating in the program is €150.

The application deadline is May 27, 2024.

 

The program is organized by Boehringer Ingelheim RCV and is presented in cooperation with EIT Health, Heidelberg University, University of Coimbra, IESE Business School, Riga Stradins University, INiTS and BDO Healthcare Consultancy.
